Title:
MICROGEL-CONTAINING ANIONIC WATER-DISPERSIBLE RESIN COMPOSITION AND ELECTRODEPOSITION COATING MATERIAL CONTAINING SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3443455
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an electrodeposition coating composition which is not adversely affected by humidity and can give a coating film not marked with water drops when washed with water after the electrodeposition coating by forming a microgel-containing anionic water-dispersible composition containing a specified synthetic resin, an amine, water and an aldehyde.
CONSTITUTION: This composition is one containing a synthetic resin having acetoacetyl groups and carboxyl groups, an amine, water and an aldehyde. Because the microgel can be dispersed in the water in this composition without using any forcible mechanical comminution method and is excellent in uniform- dispersibility in the water, the microgel itself has good electrophoretic properties in electrodeposition coating, and this composition can be used in the preparation of a water-based coating material or a high-solid coating material. It can give an electrodeposition coating composition having the above mentioned merits.
