Abstract:
To provide spherical microparticles which can give a light-diffusing plastic having a high frontal luminance and a high high-width diffusion angle.
The particles are substantially void-free, substantially spherical, and made of a crosslinked copolymer comprising methyl methacrylate, an alkyl acrylate, styrene and a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate, satisfying the formulas I, II and III: formula I: 6.66W2-0.36≤W1+W3≤6.66W2+0.31, formula II: 0.4≤W1+W2+W3≤0.98, and formula III: 4W3≤W1 (wherein W1 is the weight fraction of methyl methacrylate, W2 is that of styrene; and W3 is that of the alkyl acrylate), and having a mean particle diameter of 7-20μm.
