Abstract:
To provide a misfire detecting device of a multicylinder internal combustion engine for always accurately detecting a misfire of an opposed cylinder.
Required time T1 and T2 of 120-degree CA to the same tooth 8 of an NE rotor 7 are respectively detected by first and second crank angle sensors A1 and A2 mutually separately arranged at an angle B, and a variation quantity ΔNE is compared with a preset determining value TH with a difference between these required time T1 and T2 as the variation quantity ΔNE, and when this variation quantity ΔNE exceeds the determining value TH, it is determined as the occurrence of the misfire.
