PURPOSE: To obtain the titled polymer with excellent flame resistance and adhesiveness with a metal base by constituting it by reacting an N,N'-bisimide, a steric hindrance di-primary amine, a compd. selected from a specified group and an alkenylphenol-contg. compd.

CONSTITUTION: The titled polymer is constituted by reacting an N,N'-bisimide (a combined substance) of formula I [wherein Y is H, CH3 or Cl; A is cyclohexlene, phenylene, a group of formula II (wherein T is a single bonding, -CH2-, -O-, etc.), etc.], at least one steric hindrance di-primary amine of formula III (wherein R1-4 is a 1-3C alkyl; Z is H or Cl; B is -CH2-, a group of formulas IV-V) and formula VI (wherein R5 is R1), at least one compd. selected from a chlorinated or brominated epoxy resin, an N,N'-alkylenebis(tetrahalogenophthalimide) of formula VII (wherein U is Cl or Br; n is 1-4), a compd. of formula VIII (wherein V is an atomic valence bonding, an alkylene or O; p is 2-4) and a non-halogenated epoxy resin, at least one alkenylphenol- contg. compd. of formula IX (wherein E is an atomic valence bonding, -CH2-, -O-, etc.; R6 is H or CH3; R7 is H, a 1-6C alkyl or phenyl), a catalyst being an arbitrary ingredient, etc., at 50-300°C.
