To provide a mobile body detection device capable of executing, without increasing a number of components, both detection of presence or absence of impact applied to a window glass and the detection of the presence or the absence of a mobile body.
A mobile body detection device comprises: an oscillation circuit 12 which oscillates a wave transmission signal; wave transmission apparatus 10 which transmits an ultrasonic wave; wave reception apparatus 11 which outputs a wave reception signal E0 by receiving either a reflected wave generated when the ultrasonic wave is reflected by a mobile body A1 or the ultrasonic wave generated when impact is applied to a window glass; phase detection wave circuits 14 and 15 which output Doppler signals E3 and E4 on the basis of frequency differences between reference signals E1 and E2 having the same frequency as the wave transmission signal and the wave reception signal E0; a mobile body determination section 2 which determines presence or absence of the mobile body A1 on the basis of the Doppler signals; and an impact determination section 3 which calculates an amplitude constituent of the Doppler signal and determines the presence or the absence of the impact by comparing the calculated amplitude constituent with a predetermined determination value. The reference signals E1 and E2 to be input to the respective phase detection wave circuits 14 and 15 have phases which differ from each other.
