Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent resource use efficiency from lowering by interrupting switching control of next transmission rate of some mobile station for a predetermined time after switching the transmission rate thereof, and to sustain throughput quality by making a switch smoothly to a high transmission rate for another mobile station requiring a high transmission rate.
SOLUTION: At a radio base station 101 or a control station 104, transmission rate of each mobile station 102 is switched depending on the volume of information being transmitted/received. After transmission rate is switched for some mobile station, switching control of next transmission rate of that mobile station is interrupted for a predetermined time, thus optimizing the system performance. The switching interruption time is set variably depending on the current transmission rate, the transmission rate being switched or the residual amount of resource.
