A portable telephone 1 receives its own cell signal transmitted from a base station B1, and other cell signal transmitted from a portable telephone 21 of a base station B2 or other cell A2. The portable telephone 1 receives spread codes C2-C4 transmitted from the base station B1 as its own cell codes. The portable telephone 1 detects the interference of its own cell signal and other cell signals. When interference is detected, the portable telephone 1 receives a spread code C1 transmitted from the base station B2 or a portable telephone 21 as other cell code. The portable telephone 1 removes an interference signal by joint detection using its own cell codes and other cell codes.
