Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly expand and shrink an expansion device for a road bridge joint part.
SOLUTION: Inner faces of a pair of longitudinal plates 5, 5 opposing mutually across a joint play space 4 are mutually connected by a rubber seal member 6. In this case, the seal member 6 is provided with connection parts 12, 12 connected with mutually opposing inner faces of both longitudinal plates 5, 5, respectively, support parts 13, 13 which overhang toward the center of the joint play space 4 from each of both connection parts 12, 12, and a groove- shaped expansion part 14 suspended at the center of the joint play space 4 at each tip of both overhanging support parts 13, 13 by linking both ends.
