A cellular phone 1 includes a camera module 200 including a flash function and a body unit 100, and the camera module includes a flash circuit 211 for storing in a capacitor light-emitting energy for emitting flash. The body unit monitors a power supply state of a power supply section 116 supplying power to the camera module and outputs an instruction for causing the flash circuit 211 to start charging in response to the power supply state.
