To provide a mobile phone detecting apparatus capable of readily achieving prevention of a theft and missing of a mobile phone mounted with an IC card, without the need for mounting another apparatus onto the mobile phone mounted with the IC card.

The mobile phone detecting apparatus 20 for conducting wireless communication with the mobile phone 10 mounted with the contactless IC card include a response reception section 204 for receiving the response signal transmitted from the IC card; a target storage section 202 for storing target information 202a being information from which the entity of the IC card can be identified; and a determination section 212 for judging whether the response reception section 204 receives the response signal that includes the target information 202a stored in the target storage section 202.
