To reduce power consumption in searching a base station while suppressing reduction in users' convenience.
A mobile radio terminal device that performs radio communication with a base station housed in a network includes a first communication module, a second communication module, and control means. The first communication module detects a beacon signal from a radio signal transmitted from the base station to a service area, and determines movement in a new service area and movement out of the service area, based on change of reception timing of the beacon signal. The second communication module having power consumption larger than that of the first communication module, receives the radio signal transmitted from the base station, and acquires identification information of the base station from the radio signal to communicate with the base station. When the first communication module determines the movement to the new service area, the control means activates the second communication module to acquire the identification information from the base station.
