Title:
MOBILE STATION ANTENNA SYSTEM FOR MOVING BODY SATELLITE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02246504
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the directivity of the elevation angle direction of a nontracking type antenna used for the antenna system for a moving body by generating a circular polarized beam which is nondirectional in an azimuth angle direction and directional in the elevation angle direction.

CONSTITUTION: First antenna elements 1 are arrayed clockwise or counterclockwise based upon a 1st antenna element 1 at constant intervals β and when the polarized wave direction of, for example, a 1st antenna element antenna 1 is set to a fixed value α, the-polarization directions of other 2nd-(n)th antenna element 2(n) are so set that they are excited in the direction of the sum α+β of the fixed value α and fixed interval value β. For the purpose, ≥3 1st-(n)th antenna elements 1-(n) are arrayed in this position relation to form a conic beam which is nondirectional in the direction of the azimuth angle and directional in the direction of the elevation angle #. Consequently, the nontracking type antenna has the directivity of the direction of the elevation angle θ made coincident with the directivity of the direction of the elevation angle θ at all times.
