To collect a toll for a toll road by combining a mobile wireless telephone system with a toll road toll collection system (ETC-Electronic Toll Collection-system) and using a mobile wireless telephone terminal device and a wireless base station in a mobile wireless telephone/toll road toll collection system.

A gate wireless base station 1-4 installed adjacent to an exit/ entrance gate 1-4 of the toll road 1-1 transmits beacon identification information in front of the exit/entrance gate 1-4 of the toll road using a base station information notification channel and a cellphone 1-3 in a vehicle 1-2 transmits a response signal to the beacon identification information via a control channel of the mobile wireless telephone system. The gate wireless base station 1-4 transmits an opening/closing control signal of the exit/entrance gate 1-4 in response to the response signal and notifies the gate number of the exit/entrance gate 1-4 and an identification number of the cellphone 1-3 to a toll road toll collection center 1-7 via a fixed network 1-6, and the toll road toll collection center 1-7 calculates and collects the toll.
