PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified hyaluronic acid and/or a salt thereof having enzymolysis resistance and high physiological activity, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: Provided are a modified hyaluronic acid and/or a salt thereof, modified by a polyglutamyl group having a molecular weight of 750 or more and 20,000 or less. Further, provided is a method for producing the modified hyaluronic acid and/or the salt thereof, comprising reacting hyaluronic acid and a polyglutamic acid having a molecular weight of 750 or more and 20,000 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
