Title:
MODIFIED POLYPROPYLENE AND THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION COMPRISING MODIFIED POLYPROPYLENE AND POLYPHENYLENE ETHER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2795009
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a modified polypropylene excellent in coatability, antistatic properties and mechanical properties and useful for a molding or a high- molecular alloying agent and a thermoplastic resin composition excellent in strengths and heat resistance.
CONSTITUTION: A modified polypropylene prepared by grafting a specified amount of a specified combination of monomers selected from among a styrene monomer, an amine monomer and an aminostyrene monomer onto a polypropylene wherein the number of grafts is 1-10 on the average per polypropylene molecule, the weight-average degree of polymerization of the graft is 1-100, and the weight-average molecular weight is 1000-500000; and a thermoplastic resin composition comprising the above modified polypropylene and a polyphenylene ether modified with a compound having an amino-reactive functiuonal group in the molecule.
