Abstract:
To provide an ozone-treated, silica-treated carbon black capable of improving low heat generation properties and abrasion resistance; and a rubber composition containing the same.
A silica-treated carbon black is treated with ozone by heating at room temperature or higher in an atmosphere containing 1 ppm or higher ozone. A sulfur-vulcanizable rubber composition which is based on at least one diene rubber and contains the ozone-treated, silica-treated carbon black is provided.
