Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify inspection and maintenance management by constituting this device of a gain stage composed of a two port device as a whole, and of passive constituting elements for connecting the gain stage with a feed- forward linear amplifier. SOLUTION: A constituting element is divided into two categories, that is, active and passive categories, and the positive elements are constituted as two ports. The active constituting elements are provided with main path linear control packs MCLCP1 and MCLCP2, linear amplifying modules LIN-LIM1 and LIN-LAM2, and distortion path linear control packs DPLCP1 and DPLCP2. The passive constituting elements are provided with a linear amplifier unit coupler LAUC and a divider connection unit ICU or the like. When function failure occurs, it is estimated that the active constituting elements break down while the reliability of the passive constituting elements is low. The active constituting elements are removed one by one for eliminating the function failure, and handled and inspected as the two port network, and repaired or exchanged.
