Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a module for a laboratory sample distribution system improved in magnetic coupling between modules.SOLUTION: A module for a laboratory sample distribution system comprises: conveyance flat surfaces having a magnetically active device and supporting a plurality of sample container carriage tools; electromagnetic operation devices, adjacent ferromagnetic cores of which are magnetically coupled with each other by magnetic coupling elements, for moving the sample container carriage tools to the upper part of the conveyance flat surfaces by applying magnetic force to the sample container carriage tools; and magnetic coupling enhancing means for enhancing magnetic coupling to an adjacent module. The magnetic coupling enhancing means includes some magnetic coupling protrusion parts positioned between outer edges of the modules and corresponding ferromagnetic cores of the electromagnetic operation devices positioned adjacently to the outer edges and/or some contact surfaces adapted to be brought into contact with a corresponding number of magnetic coupling rods.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
