To provide a mold clamping device comprising a lightweight movable platen while having sufficient rigidity.SOLUTION: A mold clamping device (2) of an injection molding machine (1) comprises: a stationary platen (13); a movable platen (14) that is provided so as to be capable of sliding relative to the stationary platen (13); and a plurality of sets of ball screw mechanisms (18) that couple the stationary platen (13) and the movable platen (14).
