Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the cooling ability and durability by forming a wear-resisting metal layer on the internal surface of the cast hollow part of a mold made of pure copper or copper alloy by diffusion welding.
CONSTITUTION: On the internal surface of a mold made of pure copper or copper alloy, a wear-resisting metal layer is formed in the diffusion welding method. For the wear-resisting metal layer, nickel, nickel-group alloy, iron-nickel alloy, etc., which are easy to diffusion-weld, having large thermal conductivity and are inexpensive are used. The thickness should be about 0.5W1mm.
