Title:
MOLD FOR MOLDING GOLF BALL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3578180
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To simply demold a molded golf ball without damaging the same by arranging an ejector pin in a through-hole of which the projection area from a cavity surface is specific in a movable manner so as to allow the same to advance to and retreat from a cavity.
CONSTITUTION: The large diameter through-hole 3 communicating with a cavity 2 is provided to the central part of a lower mold 1a and an ejector pin 3 is arranged in the through-hole 3 in a movable manner so as to advance to and retreat from the cavity 2. The projection area from the cavity surface of the through-hole 3 is 3-50% of the projection area of the cavity part. A golf ball 5 is produced by clamping the lower and upper molds of this mold in such a state that the leading end of the ejector pin 4 coincides with the cavity surface of the lower mold 1a to form the cavity surface continuously to supply a molding material into the cavity 2 to mold the same. Subsequently, the upper and lower molds are separated and the ejector pin 4 is advanced to release and demold the golf ball 5.
