To obtain a mold release coating agent, capable of providing a coating film with slight migration, excellent in releasability and improved in coating properties and practicality by including a specific aqueous dispersion, a specified fluorine-based surfactant and a specific acetylene glycol therein.
This mold release coating agent comprises an aqueous dispersion containing a vinylic polymer containing fluorine and/or a silicone as main constituent units and a hydrophilic group-containing water-dispersible urethane resin, a fluorine-based surfactant having a polyalkylene oxide group and a perfluoroalkyl group together and/or an acetylene glycol represented by the formula (R is a 1-8C alkyl). The vinylic polymer is preferably a copolymer of a perfluoroalkyl group-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer and/or a polydimethylsiloxane group-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer and another ethylenically unsaturated monomer copolymerizable with both the monomers at preferably (7/3) to (3/7) ratio of the vinylic polymer to the water-dispersible urethane resin expressed in terms of weight ratio.
