PURPOSE: To achieve reduction of cycle time of production of a composite without influence to the quality of the product by supplying the molds with a prepreg of an impregnation paste and reinforcement in form of chopped rovings incorporated into the paste, the coating material of which includes an adhesive agent based upon polyurethane or polyurethanes.
CONSTITUTION: A method of molding, notably compression or injection molding, of a composite product from an impregnation paste based upon thermosetting resin or resins and reinforcement of glass threads, by supplying the molds with a prepreg of an impregnation paste and reinforcement in the form of coated chopped direct rovings incorporated into the paste. The coating material of reinforcement includes an adhesive agent based upon polyurethane or polyurethanes. The coating material of reinforcement of chopped direct rovings may include an adhesive agent comprising combinations of polyurethane or polyurethanes and polyepoxy resin or resins.
