Abstract:
To provide a molding material comprising a transparent polyamide for engineering use which has a slight inherent color and simultaneously has UV blocking properties in the neighborhood of 400 nm.
At least 60 mass% of the molding material is composed of a transparent polyamide and the molding material contains an effective amount of at least one of fluorescent whitening agents, wherein the effective amount of the fluorescent whitening agents is such that (a) the b value as a standard for yellowing is up to 7 and (b) the transmittance at least in an area of the lower limit part in 370-430 nm and measured on 4 mm thickness of the layer is less than 1 %.
