Abstract:
To provide a molten asphalt storage tank with a simpler structure and a means to accurately measure liquid surface height of molten asphalt, in consideration of problems of a conventional method of measuring a stored amount of a molten asphalt storage tank in installation of measuring equipment in an existing tank or measurement accuracy.SOLUTION: In a method of measuring a stored amount of a molten asphalt storage tank, the molten asphalt storage tank includes measuring means which contains: a float that floats on a liquid surface of molten asphalt; and a long rod body that is attached to the float and extends upward. The rod protrudes outside the tank at its tip through a guide hole drilled in an upper part of the asphalt storage tank. A height of the molten asphalt surface in the tank is measured by the protruding length.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
