Abstract:
To provide a sheet discharge device capable of suppressing obstruction of a sheet discharge with a simple configuration and an image forming device provided with the same.SOLUTION: A sheet discharge device includes: a sheet conveyance path; a first discharge port; a second discharge port; a sheet placement part; a branch part; an upper surface position detection sensor; and a control part. The upper surface position detection sensor can detect an upper surface position of a sheet placed on the sheet placement part. The control part controls distribution of the sheet to the first discharge port or the second discharge port by the branch part. The control part distributes the sheet to the second discharge port when the upper surface position of the sheet detected by the upper surface position detection sensor is equal to or higher than a first upper limit position at which the sheet can be discharged from the first discharge port and a second upper limit position at which the sheet can be discharged from the second discharge port, and stops the discharge of the sheet from the second discharge port when the upper surface position of the sheet reaches the second upper limit position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
