Title:
MOLTEN CARBONATE FUEL CELL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6012670
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To decrease resistance between a current collector and the surface of an electrode and provide a fuel cell in which performance deterioration is reduced for a long time, by forming a film layer of lithium-metal composite oxide which is excellent electroconductive, heat resistant, and corrosion resistant, on the surface of current collector.

CONSTITUTION: Current collectors 4 and 5 are placed between an oxidizing agent electrode 2 and a fuel electrode 3 and end plates 6 and 7 which are arranged on the both sides of an electrolyte holding material 1 respectively. Current collectors 4 and 5 are gas permeable porous body, and a film layer of lithium-electroconductive metal composite oxide is formed on the surface of each current collector. By forming this film, contact resistance between electrode and current collector is decreased and performance deterioration of a fuel cell is prevented.
