To provide a molten metal drawing method and a molten metal drawing apparatus capable of preventing foreign objects floating on a liquid surface of the molten metal from entering into a container from an opening thereof when the container is immersed in the molten metal and the opening of the container passes through the liquid surface of the molten metal.

A control means controls a conveying unit to bring down a container 11 to immerse the container 11 in the molten metal 1 while opening a first opening/closing valve 12b and closing a second opening/closing valve 13a to allow compressed gas supplied from a supply unit to blow out from an opening 11a of the container 11, suck the molten metal 1 from the opening 11a to the inside of the container 11 by closing the first opening/closing valve 12b and opening the second opening/closing valve 13a, convey the container 11 to a molten metal destination 3 by the conveying means in a state where the first opening/closing valve 12b and the second opening/closing valve 13a are closed and the gas in the container 11 is blocked from the external air, and drop the molten metal in the container 11 from the opening 11a to the molten metal destination 3 by opening at least one of the first opening/closing valve 12b and the second opening/closing valve 13a.
