Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molten metal transfer pump capable of press-feeding a molten metal in a closed circuit while securing the quantitativity of molten metal feed.SOLUTION: Provided is a molten metal transfer pump 60 comprising: a cylinder 3 vertically placed with an axis line and immersed into a molten metal M at the inside of a molten metal pot 80; a piston 1 inserted into the cylinder 3; and a suction check valve 40 opening/closing a suction port 40a and a discharge check valve 50 opening/closing a discharge port 50a, jointly provided at the positions lower than the piston 1 at the inside of tye cylinder 3. When the piston 1 moves to the upper part, the discharge check valve 50 closes the discharge port 50a, and further, the suction check valve 40 introduces the molten metal M in accordance with the movement amount of the piston 1 from the inside of the pot 80 into the cylinder 3 from the suction port 40a, and when the piston 1 moves to the lower part, the suction check valve 40 closes the suction port 40a, and further, the discharge check valve 50 discharges the molten metal M in the cylinder 3 from the discharge port 50a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
