PURPOSE: To provide a monitoring and controlling device for a separation liquid in which treatment of liquid-solid separation is promoted by monitoring the state of the separation liquid and optimally controlling the amount of chemicals to be mixed with raw sludge in accordance with the change in property of sludge in the case of performing liquid-solid separation of raw sludge.
CONSTITUTION: This monitoring and controlling device for separation liquid is equipped with an introduction means 18 for introducing separation liquid, a first tank 20 which is communicated with the introduction means 18 and formed so as to introduce the separation liquid and has a foaming promoting means 21, a second tank 23 communicated with the first tank 20 and formed so as to introduce the separation liquid, a monitoring and controlling means 14 for measuring chromaticity of bubbles of the separation liquid and optimally controlling the amount of chemicals to be mixed with raw sludge, a liquid level regulation means 34 regulating the liquid level in the second tank 23 and a discharge means for discharging the separation liquid.
