Abstract:
PURPOSE: To confirm that the equipmemts of the CATV systems are supplied with the power supply from the stand-by power source of the uninterruptible power supply at the center of the CATV system.
CONSTITUTION: The CATV system is equipped with the uninterruptible power supply 1 which supplies the electric power to the equipmemts in case of the stop of the supply of the commercial power source; when the electric power is supplied from the stand-by power source such as a battery of the uninterruptible power supply 1, a monitor device 2 which monitors the power supply state of the uninterruptible power supply 1 generates an alarm signal, which is sent to a subscriber's house 3 nearby the uninterruptible power supply 1 through a weak radio wave or communication line, so that the alarm signal is received by the receiver 4 in the subscriber's house 3.
