Abstract:
To obtain both an acrylate or methacrylate polymer having an excellent controllability and a γ- or δ-hydroxycarboxylic acid structure and a monomer to be a raw material for the polymer and to provide a method for producing the polymer.
An acrylate or methacrylate polymer having a γ- or δ- hydroxycarboxylic acid structure is produced by a homopolymerization of an acrylic acid or methacrylic acid derivative compound having a γ- or δ- hydroxycarboxylic acid structure or a copolymerization of the compound and another compound.
