PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact motion detection device in which a holding tool for fixing a sensor is provided with a magnetic body that generates a magnetic field having known intensity and direction in a prescribed range.SOLUTION: A motion detection device 100 includes: a magnetic body 30 generating a magnetic field having known intensity and direction in a prescribed range; a sensor 10 for detecting motion based on a detection result of a detection element for detecting magnetism in the prescribed range; and a holding tool 20 mounted to a motion body 200 and having a fixing part for fixing a sensor, where a magnetic body 30 is provided to the holding tool 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 16
