To provide a motor brush holding structure in which no holding function of a carbon brush holder nor the motor characteristics is damaged by impact or vibration, nor cause any trouble after aging, and a long lifetime is ensured through enhancement of heat radiating action.
The motor brush holding structure is formed by projecting a pair of nail pieces 3 integrally from a metallic brush holder 2 for holding a carbon brush 1, inserting each nail piece 3 into an insulating substrate 4 and bending and caulking it on the rear side thereof, and then holding the carbon brush 1 fixedly on the surface side of the insulating substrate 4. A metallic bottom plate 5 is placed on the rear side of the insulating substrate 4 and the nail pieces 3 are also inserted into the bottom plate 5 and caulked on the rear side thereof.
