Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress heat generation due to current concentration on a winding of an electric motor during a rotation lock as well as vibration and noise generated by the winding.SOLUTION: During operation of an electric motor 1, a motor controller 4 outputs a first control signal based on a torque command value and the number of rotations of the electric motor 1 to an inverter 3 to control the operation of the electric motor 1. When the electric motor 1 becomes in a lock state due to external force, the motor controller 4 outputs a second control signal corresponding to a minimum loss current according to the torque command value and a rotor position to the inverter 3. Thus energy loss of the electric motor 1 during the lock is minimized. As a result, heat generation of a winding of the electric motor 1 during the lock as well as noise and vibration due to current fluctuation are suppressed.
