Abstract:
To detect on failure of a transistor even during control of a motor with good precision through a simple arrangement.
The motor controller for controlling a DC motor 15 by an H bridge circuit 25 consisting of four transistors 21-24 comprises potential detectors 31 and 32 for detecting the terminal potential on the power supply side and the ground side of the DC motor, respectively, and a section 33 for judging on failure of the transistor individually based on the terminal side potentials on the power supply side and the ground side detected by the potential detectors under a state where all transistors are turned off.
