Abstract:
To provide a technique to reduce a time lag from when a failure occurs until when all motors are stopped independent of a communication cycle between a motor controller and a host controller.SOLUTION: A motor control system comprises: a host controller that transmits operation command signals for controlling to drive motors to a plurality of motor controllers through a first communication line; and the plurality of motor controllers that control the drive of the motors based on the operation command signals. The motor controllers each include: a failure determination unit that, when a failure occurs in a predetermined circuit in the motor controller, determines as a first failure mode, when a failure occurs outside the predetermined circuit, determines as a second failure mode, and outputs failure mode information indicating the first failure mode or the second failure mode; a mode notification unit that notifies the failure mode information output from the failure determination unit to the other motor controllers through a second communication line; and a brake control unit that, when acquiring the failure mode information, stops the motor based on the failure mode information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
