Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent leakage at a blow hole of a heat sink of a cooling apparatus in a motor control unit.
SOLUTION: The motor control unit cooling apparatus comprises a heat sink H contacting a module of the unit, a continuous recessed part formed in the heat sink, and a wall member 22 which, added to the open surface side and fixed to the heat sink, defines a coolant channel L in the heat sink by cooperating with the recessed part of the heat sink. In the heat sink, a projection 20e projecting from the added surface to the wall member is engaged with a hole 22a of the wall member, and fixed to the heat sink by caulking. Thus, no fluid leaks to a module contact surface from the blow hole at a thin- wall section of the bolt bottom, unlike conventional fitting with a bolt.
