In the motor controller of a hybrid vehicle having a motor torque calculation unit 103 for calculating a motor torque command value based on driver request torque, the motor torque calculation unit 103 cancels calculation of the motor torque command based on the driver request torque, and performs input/output limitation processing for calculating motor torque command so that a difference between the generated power of a generator and the power consumption of the motor is within the electricity input/output limitation of the battery when the battery is in the input/output limitation state where electricity input/output is limited.
