To provide a motor driving device having a low cost and high reliability by changing a control program in response to a motor and alternately driving a plurality of motors having different numbers of phases in the motor driving device for driving the plurality of the motors by an inverter circuit.
The motor driving device drives the motors 4a, 4b having a plurality of numbers of phases by connecting to switch the output of the inverter circuit 3 by a load switching means 5 in response to the motors 4a, 4b for driving by converting a DC power of a rectifier circuit 2 connected to an AC power source 1 applied to the inverter circuit 3, by one inverter circuit 3 and controlling the inverter circuit 3 and the load switching means 5 by a control means 6. The control means 6 changes a motor control program in response to the numbers of phases of the motors 4a, 4b.
