Title:
MOTOR FOR USE IN HOSTILE MEDIUM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000354345
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To surely protect the components of the rotor of a motor from a hostile medium by covering the rotor with a tubular cover having resistance against the hostile medium.

A motor 1 has a stator 4 fixed in a casing 3, and a rotor 5 which is rotatably supported inside the stator 4. Both end faces of the rotor 5 are buried in injection-molded plastic portions 11 and 12, and a stacked core unit 8 has a notch 13 which is formed when part of the unit 8 is removed by milling for balancing. The part of the peripheral surface of the rotor 5 which is not buried in the plastic portions 11 and 12 of the core unit 8 has a tubular cover 14. Therefore, break of the rotor 5 can be avoided.
