To provide a motor whose stator core can withstand the reaction of motor torque enough and whose performance is not damaged remarkably, in a motor which is equipped with a stator core made of split block cores.
In this motor which has a rotor, a stator, a stator core constituting the stator, a core part constituting the stator core, a plurality of split core blocks constituting the core part, and a metallic coupling housing for coupling the split core blocks by dovetail coupling into a united core; the split core block is made of stacked steel plates, the coupling housing is made of a material softer than the stacked steel plate, and the dovetail coupling section on the side of the coupling housing is plastically deformed so that the coupling gap existing in the dovetail coupling is eliminated by the deformation.
