Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce noise by a method wherein the bearing of a motor shaft, to which an impeller is secured, is pinches by an air guide of split constitution arranged at the outer periphery of the impeller while the whole body including the motor is covered by a split casing.

CONSTITUTION: The impeller is secured to the tip end of the motor shaft and constitutes the rotary body 22 of the fan together with a rotor 17. The casing of the motorfan is split into two of more parts and a stator 26 of the motor is held by the lower casing 24 while the bearing 18 is pinches by two sets of air guides 23. Next, the stator is covered by the upper casing 25 and, thereafter, the outer periphery of two casings 24, 25 are fixed by a clamping band 28 to constitute the motorfan. Balancing is regulated by cutting off the part of the rotor or the like after the rotating body 22 is assembled perfectly.
