Abstract:

To provide a mounting structure of a motor driver, the structure capable of preventing a vent hole of the motor driver from being directly splashed with water.

A mounting structure is used for a motor driver 30 including an electric motor 31 for driving a variable valve timing device 10 of an internal combustion engine 1. The motor driver 30 has: the electric motor 31; a casing 32 encasing the electric motor 31 therein; a vent hole 32d provided in the casing 32 and communicating the inside and the outside of the casing 32 with each other; and a filter member 32e attached to the vent hole 32d. The motor driver 30 is mounted on the outer surface of a chain case 5 covering one side of the internal combustion engine 1. The vent hole 32d is formed on the surface 32c1 of the casing that faces the chain case 5 while having a clearance S1 therebetween.
