Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce frictional resistance while reducing oil consumption in a mounting structure of a piston ring.SOLUTION: In a mounting structure of a piston ring 11 to a piston ring groove 6 formed on an outer peripheral face 4A of a piston 4 of an internal combustion engine 1 in a recessed state, the piston ring groove 6 has a lower wall face 6C inclined to an axial lower side toward a radial outer part of the piston 4 with a first inclination angle θ1 to a face orthogonal to the axial direction, the piston ring 11 has a lower face 11B opposed to the lower wall face 6C, and an outer peripheral face 11D connected to an outer peripheral edge of the lower face 11B, the outer peripheral face 11D includes a first peripheral face 11Da orthogonal to the lower face 11B, and a second peripheral face 11Db inclined to a radial inner side from an upper end edge side of the first peripheral face 11Da toward an axial upper part with a second inclination angle θ2 to the first peripheral face 11Da, and the second inclination angle θ2 is set to be larger than the first inclination angle θ1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
