Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce friction resistance without impairing an oil control function in an oil ring.SOLUTION: An oil ring fitted to an oil ring groove which is concavely provided on an outer circumferential surface of a piston includes: an upper side rail 16 and a lower side rail which are formed in a plate-like annular shape; and an expander arranged between the upper side rail 16 and the lower side rail. Therein, outer circumferential surfaces 16C of a barrel face type are individually formed on the upper side rail 16 and the lower side rail, and a barrel amount of a first region 16Ca having a prescribed axial directional width in an outer circumferential surface of the upper side rail 16 is larger than a barrel amount of a second region having an axial directional width in an outer circumferential surface of the lower side rail.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3A
