Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure for a splash guard, reducing the size of an arched molding, on which the splash guard is mounted, producing a decrease in cost with reduced materials and permitting the effective positioning of the splash guard by restricting the movement in the longitudinal and cross directions of a vehicle.
SOLUTION: The mounting structure for the splash guard 2 which is temporarily held by locking a pawl 6 to a lock hole 4 in the arched molding 3 to be mounted on a wheel arched portion of the vehicle and mounted at the side-face lower part of the vehicle comprises the pawl 6 of the splash guard 2 protruded from the reverse toward the lock hole 4 in the arched molding 3, with its end 6a formed into a hook bent downward, and a rib 7 formed on the side face at the end 6a of the pawl 6, extending to the direction of crossing the pawl 6, and adapted to be joined to the reverse of the splash guard 2, the pawl 6 and the rib 7 having ends 6a, 7a, respectively, inserted and locked into the lock hole 4.
