Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the strength of the mounting part of a suspension arm extrusion or pultrusion molded from aluminum, with a simple structure.
SOLUTION: The suspension arm 15 with a groove-shaped cross section extruded or plutrusion molded with aluminum is mounted to a knuckle 11 by an iron bolt 42 penetrating a bolt hole 52a formed at an end portion of a side wall 52, through a joint 41. On an outer surface of the side wall 52 of the suspension arm 15, an aluminum washer 43 having wall thickness t2 larger than wall thickness t1 of the side wall 52 is superimposed. Even when electric erosion is generated on the aluminum suspension arm 15 and the washer 43 due to difference in ionization tendency with the iron bolt 42, strength near the bolt hole 52a can be ensured by the thick washer 43, and the durability of the suspension arm 15 can be improved while reducing weight.
