Abstract:
An adhesive coated mounting tape for flexographic printing plates for reducing the magnitude of the vibrations in the printing plate during its operation on a cylinder. The mounting tape comprises a strong reinforcing layer, e.g. a laminate of a polymeric film and a polymeric foam, which foam has a low value for resonant frequency before achieving vibration isolation, thus affording increased printing speeds and improved print quality.
