Abstract:
To provide a movable bumper device for a vehicle capable of shortening a distance from a front end of a front bumper to a front end of a side member.
This device is provided with a stay 11 disposed to be movable in the vehicle longitudinal direction at the inside of the side member 5 at the front part of the vehicle and a bumper 23 fixed to a front end of the stay 11. By storing and holding the stay 11 in the side member 5 at the time of a normal traveling and moving the stay 11 to the front of the vehicle to be projected from the front end of the side member 5 just before a front collision of the vehicle, the bumper 23 is projected and operated to the front of the vehicle.
